And after many of years since He created the world, God heard complaints coming from his beloved man.

“God, my neighbor has stolen a calf and is mistreating it,” said the man. “I don’t want any man to own and mistreat any animal. I will stick with my promise. Smite the Farmer!”

And God went to the Farmer. “Farmer, have you stolen a calf when I have given you plenty the herbs and crops to feed on?”

The Farmer looked up to God and said, “No, I haven’t God. My old ox has died and I went to the trader. I saw this young calf with cuts on its barrel and sores on its hooves. I traded half my crops to save this poor animal. In return, when the calf has grown into a healthy ox, the ox will work for me in the field for the same many hours I tend to my crops. It shall be fed and sheltered like myself. And if I ever hurt this beast intentionally, may I be smited.”

God understood and with this returned back to heaven.

And then years later, He heard another complaint from his beloved man.

“God, the Farmer has killed his ox and eaten its meat!” cried a few men. “He has not held onto his promise and tasted the meat of a living being. We would never kill a living being. Smite the Farmer.”

And God went to the Farmer. “Farmer, have you killed the ox and eaten its flesh after you made a promise to care for it?”

The Farmer is in tears and said, “God, after many years I have a wife and children. The ox was well-taken care of in return of its services. Then many days ago, a drought hit my land and my crops died. My family ran out of food and we prayed for days of rain. I was forced to bury my first son and I fear that I will lose my second son and my wife. I killed the ox so my family can eat, but before we broke our fast, we prayed for what we were about to consume and for a blessing. And with its bones, I have made more tools. And with its skin, I have made a blanket for my son. Smite me and not my family, for it was my choice.”

And God said, “Thou has eaten from the beast, but there shall not be a punishment. For you have cared for the animal and your family. Yet, you knew of the punishment. I shall let you and your family live as long as you teach the same kindness you have in your heart of humans and beasts to your son and your son’s sons. You have sacrificed an animal and yourself to me and for that, I will allow you to eat meat, use its skin to keep warm, and use its bones as tools as long as you remember that it was a life.”

And then God returned back to heaven.

And then years later, He heard another complaint from his beloved man.

“God, the Son of the Farmer is using an ox to entertain the village and for money!” cried some men. “He beats the animal and has broken his promise. We would never humiliate an animal. Smite the Son!”

And God went to the Son. “Son of the Farmer, have you misused an ox for you to gain profit from its suffering?”

The Son replied, “God, I have used the ox to entertain the village children, but the beast is not suffering. The animal enjoys  the children on its back and enjoys the tricks that it performs. I reward it with food that I buy from some of the money that is given to me. I give the money to my father who buys new materials for his house and of the stables. The money that we have is donated to the temple and the people in the village whose lives are miserable. It is true, that I have hit the beast on the rear but not hard for blood to shed, nor for any length of time. For if I did, the ox would refuse to work on the farm.”

And God saw the ox and saw that it was indeed healthy and said, “Thou shall not beat this animal to death nor shall it be beaten for no reason. I have seen your farm and I know that it is still a struggle. However, you and the ox know that there must be play followed by work. Since, you both were not tired and there was no work to be done, you have shown the people of the village the joy of having an animal. If the animal refuses to work after you have pulled on it to rise, beat it lightly to remind it that you have given it shelter, food, and safety.”

And God returned back to heaven.

And many more years passed, He heard a complaint from his beloved man.

“God, the Farmer’s family today is doing great evil with animals!” cried some people. “They are owning cattle and dogs that were from the wild. They are eating the flesh of the cow and selling it to other people. Their dogs  perform tricks in front of people and they beat the dogs. We would never do such crimes to animals and other people. Smite the Farmer’s family.”

And God went to the Farmer and said, “Farmer, have you and your family been doing great evil to these animals even though your ancestors made a promise?”

The Farmer replied, “What evil do you speak of, God? I have bought cattle from farms, shelter them, feed them, and give them medicine when they are ill. However, more people are not working on the farms and there are people who are poor and cannot buy their own food. So, I have killed cattle and given the meat to markets and given the meat to the poor and their soup kitchen. I have bought my dogs from shelters and from breeders to protect my cattle and my home. In return, I given them shelter, food, and medicine when they are ill. I have taught a few of my dogs to pick up the mail and open doors for my daughter who is in a wheel chair. I have even taught a dog and given it to my neighbor’s blind son so that he will be able to go outside and be safe from dangers that are unseen to him. I have hit my dogs sometimes for punishment when they have destroyed my home and when they have bit my cattle. Sometimes, I forgive them for it. However, they remind me that they still love me for having them and forgive me when I feel sorry for what I have done.”

And God said, “Thou has given the blind a set of eyes and companionship to travel. And you have tried to make your daughter live her life as easy as she can and given her companions. You have sacrificed cattle to give to others so that they will know how important the life of an animal is as is the life of every human being. And though you have stroke at your dogs, you feel terrible for doing it and the animal forgives you. That is unconditional love. You shall beat the dog not to death nor till it blood sheds, but when it has done something it knows not to do. Other times, you shall forgive them.”

And God returned back to heaven.

And many, many more years passed, He heard a complaint from his beloved man.

“God, the Doctor that was born from the Farmer’s family many years ago is killing animals!” cried a few more people. “He is cutting them and giving them diseases. We would never kill an animal. Smite the Doctor!”

And God went to the Doctor and said, “Doctor, have you been killing animals and giving them diseases?”

The Doctor said, “God, I will not deny that animals have died and my hands, nor deny that I have injected them with diseases. However, I am looking for a cure for these diseases, but I cannot do tests on humans for I will be sued and lose money for my research for the cure(s). I want to save human life so that they in turn will save others. I know I might have to sacrifice a rat’s life to get closer to the cure, but I respect the animal no matter what is its size. I give them food and shelter and even medicine to try to cure them. I try not to let it suffer as the disease takes over. I try quickly to find a cure and slowly I found ways that slow down the process of the disease in a rat and then I gave it to a human. Though the human and rat still have the disease, they are not in much pain as they would be if the cure was not found. I pray that I will find cures for some if not a little more of these diseases. My wife once became deadly ill. Chimpanzees sacrificed their lives so that my wife and other that had the illness lived. The patients never forget that it took a life to give a life and in return some have shown a closeness to nature and to life itself. They are more caring and care for others, be they animal or man. But if I must be punished for doing this, I understand.”

And God said, “Thou have killed animals, but you understand the meaning of life. In return of the sacrifice of an animal, your patients are living and some have changed to have kinder hearts for all living creatures. You shall, though, continue with your work as long as you and your colleagues never forget how important the animal is to you. And you shall work to find cures for diseases that animals can also have. In doing so, you shall be even more loving toward life and even grow the love towards all living beings, whether they know it or not.”

And God returned back to heaven.

And then even more years passed, He heard a complaint from his beloved man.

“God, Hunters are killing the animals!” a small group cried. “They are taking traps and guns and killing the animals in all ways. These Hunters are the same people that the Doctor saved. Smite the Hunters!”

And God went to the Hunter and said, “Hunter, you are killing animals. What is you reason for doing such?”

The Hunter replied, “God, I hunt for many reasons. I hunt animals for meat for I rarely buy meat from the market and I even sell my meat to the butcher so that he will have meat to sell. I make their fur into coats and sell some to those that need warmth. I save theirs bones and sometimes heads as ‘trophies’; in remembrance of the animal that I have killed in order to live. I have hunted animals that go on farm lands that eat the crop that can be made into food for others. I have hunted animals so the population will dwindle, but I shoot the sick and the old, for that is what predators in the wild take down. In return, cars accidents involving animals is becoming lower and less people and animals are being killed. If the animals population is controlled, then they will be able to eat the food on their side of the rode and no longer need to cross it to get to food on the other side. I only shoot when it is legal and in season. I never kill an animal just for its head, body parts, organs,  or horns and tusks. Nor, do I leave an animal carcass behind. An animal sacrificed its life to me and in return I am trying to save some of the animals that are wiping out other animals. Those are my reasons and if I should change something I will.”

And God said, “Thou has killed animals to let other animals to live and even humans live. It is clear that you do not wish to eradicate the animals and you respect the animals by what you do with their bodies. You follow the laws of your country very closely. However, I want you to build a reservation for animals that came from the wild and cannot return to it. I also want you to not hunt the animals that are endangered and to be put in those reservations. You shall have other hunters fund them in return for getting your hunting license. You shall hunt whenever there is an animal problem of the specific breed of animal and you will stop when it is no longer problem and when there is still the breed of animal alive and not  when its numbers drop so that it can be endangered. You shall be the predator of the land where there are no predators. And you shall be the predator of the predators of the land when a carnivore threatens the existence of the leaf-eaters.”

And God returned back to heaven.

And as time passed, God heard a small complaint from his beloved man.

“God,” cried a child. “There is a group of people out there that says meat is disgusting and that humans don’t eat meat and meat-eaters go to hell. They want my dog killed because it is a pitbull and said I shouldn’t have animals. They also want my uncle’s monkey to be taken away from him because  it ‘works’ for him, but he cannot move his arms or legs. They call my mother a murderer because she wears fur coats. They hurt my father by freeing the turkeys on my father’s property when they were to be sold to the butcher so that we and other families can eat. They say that the circus, zoos, and aquariums are wrong because they exploit animals. They said that animal testing is wrong because it is useless and cruel, but some of those that say that have diabetes. They say that they, themselves, or pay others to burn down buildings where animal testing happens.  They don’t want a deer and a bear hunt, but more deer are getting killed on the side of the rode or they are starting to starve. In another county, the population has grown and bears are killing livestock , breaking into homes, and even kill people. They said the animals should just be relocated to another area, but then my family will have problems paying taxes, and the animals even come back after being relocated. They say I am an idiot and that I should change my way of life to theirs. I don’t know what to do, God.”

And God went to the child and said, “Cry no longer, child. For you are not what they call an ‘idiot’. What group of people is this to force their views on you and your family and your people?”

The child sniffed and replied, “They are called ‘People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ or P.e.T.A. for short.”

And so God went to the P.e.T.A. headquarters in guise of a human and said to those there, “P.e.T.A., why do you say meat is disgusting and humans don’t eat meat and that meat-eaters go to hell?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and a vegan life is better than a meat-eater and we will go to heaven, even though we secretly know that many animals are killed in the machines just to make us food.”

Then God asked, “Why do you want to kill pitbulls, but let other animals live?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and pitbulls are vicious by nature and man-made, even though we secretly know that not all pitballs are dangerous and that they are still a product of animal breeding.”

Then God asked, “Why do you not want people to have animals?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and pets are nothing more than slaves, even though we secretly know that such animals are guaranteed shelter, food, and care.”

Then God asked, “Why do you call people murderers for wearing a fur coat?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and animals should not be killed for their fur, even though we secretly know that some people freeze on cold nights.”

Then God asked, “Why do you free animals from farms and slaughterhouses?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and animal should not be killed for their meat, even though we secretly know that the animal may not survive in the wild.”

Then God asked, “Why are you against zoos, aquariums, and the circus?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and animals should not perform for people, even though we secretly know that they are being cared for and making people want to learn more about animals.”

Then God asked, “Why are you against animal testing?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and animals should not be experimented on, even though we secretly know that diseases are being cured and humans and animals are living longer.”

Then God asked, “Why do you burn or pay others to burn down labs?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and people should die for doing such test, even though we secretly know that this will set research back and delay a cure for humans and animals and the money funds terrorists.”

Then God asked, “Why are you against hunting?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and hunters should die for making animals suffer for a long time, even though we secretly know that hunters try to end the suffering of an animal as quick as possible.”

Then God asked, “Why do you call people names and tell them that they should join you?”

“Because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life and people need to respect our ways, even though we secretly know that we will lie with our information and brainwash children and prefer people to die so that the animals will live.”

And God paused for a moment and then asked, “In your eyes animals are more important than humans?”

“Yes, because we know better,” they said. “A life is a life.”

Finally, God said: “I have made each of you in my image so that no matter what religion you are, you shall still find a way to worship me by loving your fellow man. Instead, you prefer animal worship in the most wrong of ways. Your ancestors summoned me to check on people that had animals and not all were as evil and cruel as you said. You have lied to the people with false information. You want all animals to live, but you kill some. You want more to join your organization, but you want people to die instead of taking vaccines and cures that involved animals. You say beating animals are wrong, but man is an animal and you have beaten some people, that had animals, close to death. You say what you do is good, but you vandalize and arson, using the help of teenagers of all things. You say that you save animals, but you euthanize many animals and lie about it. You even had two that killed cats and dogs and paid for their bail when they got caught. And even at least one of them still works for you. You kill animals that are claimed ‘unadoptable’ because they were old and sick, but you also killed the young and the healthy. You claim you can’t ‘guarantee’ if the animals would have gotten a home, yet people still adopt the sick and healthy, the old and young, and the calm and temperamental. You prefer an animal to starve to a painful death instead of having a quick death where its body shall be put to use. You say you are for animal rights, but you do not respect the rights that animals have towards humans.”

And P.e.T.A. said,” Who do you think you are? WE KNOW BETTER. A LIFE IS STILL A LIFE. Who do you think you are? God?” And they laughed.

Suddenly, in a blinding light, God revealed his true self. And He said, “No one knows better than I. A life is still a life unless you do something meaningful with it and you have destroyed lives of both human and beast and want to destroy the relationship between the two.”

And the wind began to roar and the earth began to quake. Lo’ and Behold an enormous golden light descended from the heavens before Him and took the form of a mighty Hammer. And with this Hammer, did He grasp and raise before Him. And with one monstrous blow, did He slam the Hammer on the wicked and sent them into eternal damnation into the fiery depths of Hell.

And then God returned back to Heaven and looked down at what he created.

And it was Good.
From the past to today. What happens when people want God to correct those that are wrong, but they actually are right. And the ones that think they are right, are greatly wrong.
